have fun, will travel

DSCN9400

I will be leaving for a 6 day field trip!

I am armed with a C.S. Lewis book, my loyal camera, and a mighty cup of hot cocoa.

Yes. I need LOTS of healthy(ish) snacks, because we won’t be making very many stops. Hmm … you think that’s enough to last me for a week? I sure hope so. We’ll see 🙂

In case you can’t see it very well, I have grapes, popcorn, homemade trail mix, homemade jerky, raw almonds, dried apple, banana chips, and granola bars.

By the way, have any of you guys ever tried the coffee almonds? Are they good?

music: I have the wonderful company of …

Norah Jones

Michael Buble

Sara Bareilles

OneRepublic

So here’s to you, kids! *clink*

  1. Mere Christianity! I love that book! (Although I haven’t read the last few chapters.) Our copy was sadly destroyed in an accident. I need to get a new copy…anyway, enjoy your field trip!

  2. Have fun!!! 😀 I have Mere Christianity, but I’ve never read it…I might just go start on that right now XP Sounds like you will be in good company (music wise)! Can’t wait to see your pictures. 🙂

    • It was a blast! I learned so much, and have so many memories to look back on. You should read it! It was seriously excellent — I don’t know why I haven’t read it before. And I will post pictures soon! I took over 500 of them, so I have to choose (which will be VERY hard haha) 😀

      • Great to hear that! 😀 I just now got back from a camping trip and took a ton of pictures as well! I’m hopefully going to post something about it soon. I do a have a question though; your pictures always look amazing! Do you use any sort of photo editing programs? Or is your camera just really, really good? 😉

      • Oh how fun! Can’t wait to see your pictures!

Yes, I use a free editing program called Windows Live Gallery. It came with my computer. Very simple, nice way to edit pictures 🙂 Also, PicMonkey is great for editing too!

    • Well, first we drove all the way to L.A., spent the night at Bel Air Pres. Church. The next morning, we visited the Getty Museum (which was amazing). Day after, the Getty Villa, and stayed at an architect’s house. We saw Hearst Castle. Then we drove to San Fransisco, and explored the Marina district. We had ice cream at the Ghiradelli Square, and then walked across the Golden Gate bridge. We spent the night at another church, and visited the Redwoods State Park. Ahh, it was absolutely amazing! Wish you were there :/
