awkward and awesome

awkward:

~ When someone’s waving at you, and you wave back, but then you realize they’re not waving at you.

~ Talking to someone, and spitting coffee down your shirt. Yup.

~ When you laugh at your own joke … and you’re the only one laughing.

~ Making awkward amounts of awkward eye contact with someone who feels as awkward as you do.

~ Your parents taking a picture of you snoring.

~ The moment you realize you accidentally dipped a tomato in ketchup and ate it.

~ Dropping food (or anything) down your shirt, and trying to get it out without anyone seeing you.

~ When people won’t stop staring at you when you’re eating. Ugh.

awesome:

~ going to the coast with your buddies πŸ™‚

~ waking up sore after a workout haha

  1. Haha! I can totally relate to so many of the awkwards ;P I’m a debater and my resolution is all about economics πŸ˜› Do you know what program your school using (for economics)? I’m just interested πŸ˜‰ Ooh, you like the Giver? πŸ˜€

    • I’m glad I’m not the only one! You’re a debater? Wowzer, that’s awesome! We do small debates at our school every once in awhile. For economics, we kind of do out own thing. We have an amazing teacher; I learn SO much from him! Right now, we are watching the videos for Economics 101 class on the Hillsdale College website, which is free πŸ™‚

I thought the Giver was … I don’t even have words for it. Have you seen it? It was so interesting. And I loved how it had pro-life and anti-Communism messages. That really struck me. Now I’ll have to read the book, to see what other gems I find in there πŸ˜€

      • I’ll have to check out the Economics 101! πŸ™‚

I’ve read the book and seen the movie, and there are some differences, but I don’t know if I’d call them big differences…ok, well yes there are a few big differences, like Jonas is turning 12, not 18 or whatever he is in the movie and Asher is almost totally different. πŸ˜› But yes, I really enjoyed the movie! Oh my word, I just totally LOVED just watching Jonas care for Gabe! It was so sweet! I laughed out loud in the theater when he was making faces to make Gabe stop crying. πŸ˜€ That’s what my future husband needs to be like; loves kids and doesn’t view them as burdens! πŸ˜‰

  2. Oh..but weirdly tomatoes and ketchup are so good together. Wonder why. πŸ˜‰ You know what else is awkward? Laughing so hard while drinking water that you have to spit your mouthful of water back into your cup…ew.
